NORMAL - A man who left his 1994 Chevy truck with a leaking radiator unlocked figured nobody would steal it "because they wouldn't get very far," said Normal police.

He was wrong. It was stolen.

The man who stole it from the 1200 block of South Adelaide Street tried to sell it to a man in the 900 block of West Market Street, police said. The buyer offered him $20 for the keys, and the man said, "Yeah, OK," police said.

The buyer, who recognized the truck, returned it to its rightful owner Oct. 27, said a police report.
