NEW WINDSOR - Police are investigating the shootings of a Galesburg man and Aledo woman found dead inside a home in the northwest Illinois village of New Windsor.

Officials responding to reports of a domestic disturbance Friday found 35-year-old Chad Whiting of Galesburg shot dead. They did not say if he lived in the home.

Police also found 30-year-old Dana Marie Beals Whiting, who was airlifted with a gunshot wound to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Beals Whiting died a short time later.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Department, Illinois State Police, Aledo Police Department, Woodhull Police Department and Sherrard Police Department joined the New Winsor Police Department on the scene.
