LINCOLN -- Preliminary results from an autopsy Monday indicate a Roodhouse woman died of blunt-force trauma to the head and neck in a crash Friday near Lincoln.

Illinois State Police say Stephanie Lumbert, 41, was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger northbound on Interstate 55 at milepost 129 in the left lane when a rear tire deflated, causing her to lose control of the truck.

Her truck struck the left barrier on a bridge, crossed both northbound lanes and struck the right barrier. The truck then bounced into the path of a semitrailer truck driven by a Decatur man.

The truck driver was not injured in the crash, which occurred about 7:10 p.m. Lumbert was pronounced dead a short time later.

In addition to the Illinois State Police, the Logan County sheriff's department, Abraham Lincoln Ambulance Service, Lincoln Fire and Lincoln Rural Fire Departments responded to the scene.

Roodhouse is located in Greene County in southwestern Illinois.
