LINCOLN -- A 41-year-old woman from Roodhouse died Friday night following a traffic accident shortly after 7 p.m., Illinois State Police officials said.

Stephanie Lumbert was driving a pickup truck northbound on Interstate 55 at milepost 129 in the left lane when a rear tire deflated, causing her to lose control of the truckstate police said in statement. Her truck struck the left barrier on a bridge, crossed both northbound lanes and struck the right barrier, the statement said. The truck then bounced into the path of a semitrailer truck driven by Stanley Dickerson, 51, of Decatur.

Logan County Coroner Robert Thomas confirmed that there was a fatality Friday night, but could provide no information about the cause of death.
