BLOOMINGTON -- NBA star LeBron James will visit State Farm corporate headquarters Monday for a photo-op and to raise money for United Way of McLean County.
James, who won the 2009 NBA MVP award with the Cleveland Cavaliers, will meet with State Farm employees and children from Western Avenue Community Center, which is a United Way agency, State Farm said in a statement Thursday.
The event in the atrium is not open to the public. Autographed basketballs and an employee raffle to meet James will raise money for United Way, the statement said.
James, who has been featured in two State Farm commercials, is stopping in Bloomington on his way to a Chicago preview of "More Than a Game," a documentary about James' high school basketball team. The Lionsgate film opens in October, and State Farm is a sponsor of the release.
