BLOOMINGTON -- One man was injured when he was hit by a truck near Veterans Parkway and Mercer Avenue on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The incident was first reported around 1:15 p.m., police said. The man was conscious and breathing and was complaining to first responders of chest and back pain, police said.
Traffic on southbound Veterans was reduced to one lane but was still moving. Southbound traffic was being pushed to the far left lane as crews continued working the scene.
At around 1:30 p.m., a concrete company truck was seen up on a curb. The injured man was being transported to the hospital.
