BLOOMINGTON — Two Champaign men are in McLean County jail on a variety of drug charges following a traffic stop by Bloomington police.
Benjamin Sayles, 26, and Lawrence P. Lewis, 25, were charged with the manufacturing and delivery of heroin and cocaine on Friday. Sayles remains in custody in lieu of posting $7,535 bond. Lewis remains in custody in lieu of posting $5,035 bond.
The two were stopped Thursday near the area of Tracy Drive and Oak Creek Plaza following an investigation by BPD and a BPD detective assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force.
Currency and evidence of drug distribution were seized as evidence, police said.
Both are scheduled for arraignment on March 2.
