BLOOMINGTON — A 63-year-old Chicago woman was injured Friday morning when she was struck by a vehicle on Market Street.
The extent of her injuries is unknown. She was taken to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Shortly after 6 a.m., police responded to the intersection of Market and Caroline streets to find an unconscious, but breathing, pedestrian.
According to a statement from police, a witness said the woman was wearing dark clothing and crossed against the traffic control light.
She was crossing Market Street from the north. Police said the driver and and witnesses were interviewed at the scene. The driver refused medical treatment.
