Criminal sexual assault — A Bloomington man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman by engaging in sex with her while she was sleeping.
Lamar M. Adkins, 30, of the 1600 block of Keybridge Way is charged with criminal sexual assault. According to Bloomington police, the 36-year-old alleged victim discovered a video on her phone of a male having sex with her as she slept. Police said Adkins may be acquainted with the woman through a mutual friend.
Adkins was jailed in lieu of posting $30,035.
Bomb threat — A juvenile LeRoy High School student was been arrested in connection with a bomb threat Friday at the school.
No students were in any danger at any time.
Around 10 a.m. Friday, a suspicious email was sent to high school administration, indicating there were devices in the building, according to a news release from the district.
The message was later believed to be spam email.
Officials decided to evacuate students and staff to the Replex facility in LeRoy while authorities searched the building.
The McLean County Sheriff’s Department and LeRoy police and fire departments assisted in the search.
Parents were alerted of the evacuation.
No threatening devices were found in the school and within an hour students were allowed to return to the building.
The threat remains under investigation.
