Shelter offers holiday meals
BLOOMINGTON — Home Sweet Home Ministries is preparing for its 100th year of sharing a Thanksgiving meal with homeless and hungry Bloomington-Normal area residents.
Home Sweet Home plans to deliver 600 Thanksgiving meals to elderly and disabled Bloomington-Normal residents and to serve 150 meals at Home Sweet Home's Billy Shelper Center, 303 E. Oakland Ave., Bloomington, at 12:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.
Any elderly or disabled resident who would like to have a meal delivered to their home should call 309-828-7356, follow the voice prompts and then enter extension 241 to request a meal by Nov. 16. Calls will be returned to confirm meal requests.
