NORMAL — U.S. News and World Report ranked Illinois State University’s College of Education in the top 100 in its list of 2014 Best Graduate Schools.

The ranking of 91st place was based on such factors as the quality of the school’s faculty, research and students.

“Our ranking is testimony to the hard work and dedication of our outstanding faculty and the quality of our graduate students in the College of Education,” said Perry Schoon, the school’s dean.

“Being recognized as one of the top schools in the country is a tangible affirmation that the quality of an Illinois State University graduate degree is highly respected across the nation, and that our alumni are among the best,” he said.
