BLOOMINGTON — The Illinois Fish & Feather Expo returns to Bloomington with a three-day show this weekend at the Interstate Center, 2301 W. Market St.

Featured speaker Jim Crowley will talk about big game fishing in Canada and large-mouth bass fishing on local lakes. The expo is Friday through Sunday. 

Other speakers include Steve Welch, on using electronics for successful crappie fishing; Allen Corzine, on the intricacies of Lowrance Electronics; Paul Center, on fishing fun, safety, conservation and education; and Jonn Graham, on small-mouth bass in the streams and rivers of the Midwest.

Lyle Merritt, a relic hunter and collector of more than 5,000 arrowpoints, also will speak. Edge Fishing Products will clean reels for free and gun oil kits will be given away at the door.

The exhibition also will include door prizes and a chance for kids to practice bow fishing skills.

Show hours are noon to 7 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6 to 12, and free for those 5 and younger. Parking is free.
