BLOOMINGTON - Margaret Louise Macy, 81, Bloomington, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday (April 19, 2008) at her family residence.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with Don Rule officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the memorial home. Memorials may be made to BroMenn Hospice.
She was born Sept. 10, 1926, in Wister, Okla., the daughter of William Oscar and Mildred Walkup Nix. She married Lawrence W. Macy on Jan. 11, 1948, in Bloomington. He passed away Dec. 18, 2002.
She is survived by her children, Carol Rainey, Manhattan, N.Y.; Paul (Paula) Macy, Shirley; and Peg (Darvin) Monkemeier, Salinas, Calif.; her grandchildren, Brooke Raney, Jason (Jamie) Macy, Emily Macy and Jordan Macy; great-grandchildren, Kaylis Raney, Christian Macy and Jacob Macy; her sister, Joyce (Warren) Vannice, Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Shirley Cotherman.
She was a member of Plymouth Brethen.
Margaret was employed by State Farm Insurance Cos. and Illinois State University. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all at Westminster Village.
She will be fondly remembered for her example of unwavering faith in eternal life.
