SECOR - Thelma M. Hasty, 81, Secor, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Thursday (July 2, 2009) at her residence.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso. The Rev. Tim Smith will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Washburn, a daughter of Granville and Mabel Self Brewer. She was married to Jacob Folkers and later married Earl Hasty.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Folkers, El Paso, and Bobbie (Richard) Carey, Secor; two sons, Leonard (Marge) Hasty, Flanagan, and Terry (Edna) Hasty, Satuma, Fla.; one brother, Raymond Brewer, Streator; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Folkers; one daughter, Beverly Folkers; and one grandson.

Thelma was a homemaker and also sold Avon products. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
