PONTIAC - Margie J. Diemer, 84, Pontiac, died at 7 a.m. Friday (Jan. 12, 2007) at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Pontiac, with the Rev. William Shields of the First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Pontiac. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to First Lutheran Church, Pontiac, or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Margie was born May 9, 1922, at Pontiac, a daughter of Carl and Minnie Vitzthum Raube. She married Emil W. Diemer on Dec. 3, 1944, at Dwight. He preceded her in death Dec. 30, 2004.

Survivors include one son, Darrell Diemer, Pontiac; one daughter, Carol (Tom) Ross, Pontiac; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Sipes and Jennifer Diemer.

Margie was educated in Pontiac schools and a 1939 graduate of Pontiac High School. She and her husband farmed their entire lives. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Pontiac.
