STREATOR - Ruth M. Downing, 84, Streator, died Saturday evening (April 19. 2008) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator, after a short battle with cancer.

Service: 12 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Streator, with the Rev. Larry DeMoss, a son-in-law, and Rev. Tyson Graber, a grandson officiating

Burial: Riverview Cemetery, Streator.

Visitation: 10 to 12 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Solon, Baker & Telford Funeral Home.

Survivors: three daughters, Jackie (Larry) DeMoss, Panama City, Fla.; Sandy (Larry) Jarling, Danville; and Lori (Dave) Sweeden, Streator. one son, Tom Downing, Lorida, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois Wright, Streator, and Betty (James) Sunken, Wenona. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
