LeROY - Betty J. Winters Brent, 83, LeRoy, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday (July 1, 2009) at LeRoy Manor, LeRoy.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Presbyterian Church, LeRoy. The Rev. Larry Gaylord will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or First United Presbyterian Church, LeRoy.

Mrs. Brent was born June 17, 1926, in Normal, daughter of William A. and Florence E. Jacobs Winters. She married Donald H. Brent on June 22, 1947, in Chenoa. He passed away Feb. 1, 1984.

Survivors include four sons, Gary L. (Janet) Brent, LeRoy; Dennis Brent, Bloomington; David L. (Diane) Brent, Normal; and Alan C. (Donna) Brent, LeRoy; 14 grandchildren: Holly (Todd) Fannin, Adam (Wendy) Brent, Ann Brent, Amy (Martin) Hobbs, Scott (Amy) Brenneman, Erika (Brian) Stevens, Nathan (Megan) Brent, Andrea (Brian Wood) Brent, Robert Bedeker, Mark Brent, James Brent, John Brent, Grace Brent and Paul Brent; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.

Betty was a member and past deacon of the First United Presbyterian Church, LeRoy. She also was a member of the Ruel Neal American Legion Auxiliary unit 79 in LeRoy, the LeRoy Child Study Club, Empire Club and the LeRoy Garden Club.
