STREATOR - Glenn F. Morrison, 78, Streator, died peacefully Saturday (April 19, 2008) at Pleasant View Luther Home with his friends and family at his side.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church, Ottawa, with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery with military services. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with prayers at 4 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus in attendance at the Ottawa Funeral Home, Ottawa. Memorials may be made to the family.

Pallbearers will be John, Jeff, Tom and Kathy Morrison, Les Skaggs and Jimmy Andree.

He was born May 26, 1929, in DePue, the son of Glenn and Frances Hall Morrison. He married Mary Twohey on June 23, 1951, at St. Columba Church. She passed away Nov. 27, 1988.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Morrison, Dixon; three sons, John (Bambi), Minor, Glenn Thomas (Sandy), Fairborn, Ohio, Jeff (Lori), Normal; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eileen (Jim) Andree, Blackstone.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gene Robert.

He was a tax assessor for LaSalle County for more than 22 years.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Knights of Columbus Elks Lodge and Operating Engineer's Local 150.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
