DELAND -- Richard Carl "Rick" Roy, 54, of DeLand, formerly of Mahomet, died at 12:24 p.m. Thursday (July 2, 2009) at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, 1699 N. State St., Monticello, with Pastor Steve Ingram and Pastor Dave Woolridge officiating.

Burial: Shiloh Cemetery, rural Mahomet.

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bellflower Community Center (McLean County Opry), Bellflower.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors: One son, Derrick Roy, Villa Grove; one daughter, Heather Roy, Charleston; father and stepmother, Clarence and Lois Roy, Neon, Ky.; one brother, Tim (Ruth Ann) Roy, Mahomet; and one sister, Ernestine (G.C.) Kincer, Neon, Ky.; and one grandson.
