MOUNT PULASKI - Robert Alan Pope, 52, Mount Pulaski, died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday (April 19, 2008) in rural Mount Pulaski.

There will be a private graveside service with Kristine Morgan officiating.

Interment will be in Lake Bank Cemetery, Mount Pulaski. There will be no visitation. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Robert Alan Pope Memorial Fund at the Farmers Bank in Mount Pulaski.

He was born Jan. 5, 1956, in Decatur, the son of John R. and Bonnie McKinley Pope. He married Susan Faith on Aug. 7, 1976, in Mount Pulaski. She survives.

He also is survived by his parents; two sons, Alex Pope and Adam Pope, both of Mount Pulaski; one brother, John David (Gerri) Pope, Mount Pulaski; one sister, Rosalee Gay, Decatur; and a cousin, Nolan Pope, Madison, Wis.

He was an assembler at Caterpillar in Decatur and a retired farmer.

He was a member of a Christian church.
