CLINTON - Charles Ronald "Ron" Gregory, 67, formerly of Clinton, passed away June 28, 2009, at his residence in Seattle, Wash., after an extended illness.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church, Clinton. Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wapella.

He was born June 28, 1942, the son of Charles Raymond and Emogene Bray Gregory in Clinton. He married Harriet Thompson in 1960, and later Helen Wilson, Seattle, Wash., and Donna Harrison, Portland, Ore.

He is survived by two daughters, Susan (Steve) Siebert, Normal, and Carrie Lousberg, Lynnwood, Wash.; three granddaughters, Rebecca N. Lousberg, Lynnwood, Wash.; Sarah M. Westermayer, Bloomington; and Brigitte Westermayer, Joliet; and two great-granddaughters, Adria Rose Reeder and Jenica Grace Reeder, Lynnwood, Wash.

He is also survived by his mother, Emogene Shaw, Clinton; one sister, Linda (Marty) Fenner, Clinton; two brothers, Mike Shaw and Todd (Shelly) Shaw, both of Clinton; and two aunts, Margaret Murphy and Della (Tom) Cooper, both of Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Raymond Gregory; stepfather, William L. Shaw; aunt, Catherine Corwin; and cousin, Eugene "Slick" Murphy.

Mr. Gregory was a graduate of Clinton High School, class of 1960 and received his bachelor's degree in business from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, in 1964. He was a former employee of State Farm Insurance Cos., Bloomington, and Unigard Insurance Co. of Seattle, Wash.

He was a loving father, grandfather, son and brother.
