BLOOMINGTON - Henry E. "Hank" Brake, 63, of 3012 Iris Way, Bloomington, died at 3:51 p.m. Monday (Feb. 13, 2006) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with Rod Custer officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the memorial home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
He was born June 2, 1942, at Murfreesboro, N.C., to Henry L. and Nellie Taylor Brake. He married Mary L. Wright on March 30, 1970, at Bloomington. Mary survives in Bloomington.
Also surviving are his mother, Nellie Evans, St. Robert, Mo.; son, Toby (Christy) Brake, Beardstown; daughter, Christina Brake, Bloomington; four grandchildren, Matthew, Macey, Abby and Ryan; brother, Johnny Evans, St. Robert, Mo.; and three sisters, Sarah Evans, Lebanon, Mo.; Sonja Williams, St. Robert, Mo.; and Joyce Gray, Kentucky.
His father preceded him in death.
Hank was a mechanic at Chuck's Harley Davidson for 34 years. He was loved by so many. He was also known for his sense of humor.
