BLOOMINGTON -- Richard Thomas Hill, 32, of Bloomington died Friday (July 3, 2009) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 4114 E. Oakland Drive, Bloomington. Visitation will also be at 10 a.m. prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will follow in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Memorials may be made to his children, c/o Richard and Ann Hill, or to Resurrection Lutheran Church.

Richard was born on June 3, 1977, in Bloomington, the son of Richard D. and Ann Gillen Hill. He attended Bloomington High School and was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Bloomington.

Richard is survived by his parents; two daughters, Chelsea Rae Williams and Ella Ann Hill, both of Bloomington; one brother, Preston J. (Amanda) Hill of Bloomington; twin sisters, Kristen M (Thomas) Hill-Hoosier of Pueblo, Colo., and Katie E. (Mikel) Hill-Adams of Bloomington; paternal grandmother, Marie Hill of Bloomington; and maternal grandmother, Faye O. Gillen of Asheboro, N.C. He is also survived by many cousins; nephews, Cory Hill, Peyton Hill, Parker Hill and Mikel Adams; nieces, Natalie Hill, Madeline Hill and Elizabeth Hoosier; and special friend, Amy Dietz of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold T. Hill and maternal grandfather, John C. Gillen.

Richie enjoyed spending time with his daughter Chelsea, infant daughter Ella and his nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much. He loved to read and enjoyed playing cards and communicating with friends on MySpace. He especially loved spending Sundays with family at his grandmother's house.
