Connie Sue Young, 64, formerly of Decatur, went to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ as her family was by her side Saturday (March 3, 2018) in Fort Smith, Ark.

She was adored by her students as a teacher and even more so by her children and grandchildren. In retirement, she dedicated her life to caring for her parents and being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Connie is survived by her husband, Rennie; two sons, Garrett Young and Evan (Natalie) Young; three grandchildren, Jace, Elyse and Connor Young, all of Fort Smith; her parents, Victor and Lucille Lanzotti, Decatur; two brothers, Victor (Joyce) Lanzotti, Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Daniel (Lisa) Lanzotti, Springfield.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the service. The family has asked for donations to be made, in lieu of flowers, to the American Brain Tumor Association at www.abta.org.
