Diane W. Bussan, 73, of Normal, passed away at 2:02 p.m. Sunday (April 15, 2018) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Her Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Historic St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bloomington, with Father Jeff Stirniman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pana. Memorials may be directed to Epiphany School music program or Parkinson’s Foundation.
Diane was born April 3, 1945, in Taylorville, a daughter to Harold B. and Irene Klein Wolf. She married Dr. David N. Bussan on Aug. 15, 1970, in Morrisonville.
Surviving are her husband, David, Normal; one daughter, Michelle (Wayne) Wagner, Westford, Mass.; four sons, Nick (Nikki) Bussan, Heyworth; Dr. Matthew (Leila) Bussan, John Bussan and Mark Bussan, all of Normal; grandchildren, Megan and Mikayla Wagner, Brooke Bussan, Madison Fisher, and Trinity and Felicity Bussan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Melissa Marie Bussan.
Diane was a graduate of Illinois State University and University of Illinois, receiving her master's degree in music. She taught at Epiphany School for many years where she enjoyed teaching music to her many students. Diane played the organ at 9 a.m. Mass at Epiphany Catholic Church for many years.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and fought a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease for over 20 years. Diane’s spirit and positive attitude was an inspiration to all whom she knew or came in contact with. She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
