FORREST — Ernestine Parkinson, 72, Haines City, Fla., formerly of Forrest, died June 9, 2010, at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center, Haines City, Fla.

Her memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Forrest. The Rev. Corinne Blissard will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Forrest, or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Ernie was born Oct. 6, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Ernest and Francis Earles. They preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney E. Parkinson; daughter, Pamela Rieger, Forrest; and two sons, Gregory C. Schrof, Bloomington, and Douglas G. Schrof, South Bend, Ind., and two stepchildren, Michael R. Parkinson, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Cathie Chamberlain, Collegeville, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Ernie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her smile and laugh will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
