Gustaf F. Ziebarth, 101, of Hudson, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2018) at his home.
He was born Nov. 14, 1916, the son of Gustaf A. and Eliza Brown Ziebarth. He married Mabel L. Hess in 1944 in Danvers. She passed away on Sept. 17, 1989, in Bloomington.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mamie Kerber.
Surviving are his children, Gary (Kay) Ziebarth, Hudson, and Kay (Steve) Payne, Bloomington; four grandchildren, Aaron (Allison) Ziebarth, Andy (Jill) Ziebarth, Rebecca Payne and Bridget (Nick) Chinowth; six great-grandchildren, Ty, Alex, Drew, Max, Colton and Garrett Gustaf. He also left behind special close friends, Judy Ploense, J.R. Emberton and Gordie Hodges.
Gus farmed in the Hudson area his entire life. He touched the lives of many and will truly be missed. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with friends and family. A special thank you goes out to his caregivers Linda, Dana, Suzanne and Oma.
Memorial visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso. Cremation will be accorded.
