HUDSON — Helen F. Morris, 87, Hudson, passed away at 2:43 a.m. Monday (Jan. 21, 2013) at Meadows Mennonite Home, Chenoa.

Helen was born March 29, 1925, in Streator, daughter of Frank and Ida Geheber Hagi. She married William E. Morris Sept. 29, 1943. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children, Philip L. (Sharon) Morris, Hudson, and Virginia (Doug) Hull, Normal; grandchildren, William Morris Jr., Kimberly Morris, Stephanie Morris, Janelle (Brad) Burke, Kyle Morris, Josh Morris, Lyndsey Hull and Stacey Hull; great-grandchildren, Kaden and Kellen Burke, and Kallie Horine; two sisters, Phyllis (Frank) Canale, Streator, and Betty (Tim) Donovan, Dwight; and two brothers, Bob (Linda) Hagi, Ransom, and Joe (Anita) Hoffman, Marseilles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Irwin Hoffman; one son, William “Billy” Morris; and one granddaughter, Molly Hull.

The funeral for Helen will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hudson United Methodist Church, Hudson. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Hudson Township Cemetery, Hudson. East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family.

Helen was a member of Hudson United Methodist Church and was a part of the United Methodist Women. She retired from Unit 5 schools after working in the cafeteria at Hudson Elementary School for many years. Helen was a music lover and played the organ. She enjoyed dancing and going to the Bloomington Moose Lodge and the Bloomington Elks Lodge with her husband. She treasured time spent with her family and friends, and will be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hudson United Methodist Church.
