Henry F. “Hank” Collins Jr., 61, of Gibson City, died at 9:52 a.m. Saturday (March 3, 2018) at Heartland Health Care Center, Paxton.
His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, with Pastor Nick Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda. Visitation will be for an hour before the service at the funeral home.
He was born April 7, 1956, in Welch, W.Va., a son of Henry F. and Shirley D. Davis Collins. He married Sherrie Hudson on Oct. 24, 1998. She died Nov. 17, 2017.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Billie Jo (Andy) Wilken, Paris; two sisters, Connie (Jim) Quinn, Doyletown, Pa., and Lee Ann (Doug) McMahon, Rantoul; mother, Shirley Collins, Rantoul; and several nieces and nephews.
Hank worked at Collins-Aikman in Rantoul for many years. He enjoyed fishing; cars, especially Mustangs; was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Dale Jarrett; and was a member of the Foosland Sportsman Club.
