Jeannie Marie Lovins Chase, 53, of Minier, passed away Friday (Nov. 3, 2017) at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, after suffering a stroke the previous week.
She was born Aug. 8, 1964, to Jerry and Virginia Jording Lovins of Minier. They survive. She was previously married to Louis B. Chase. He survives in Pekin.
She was a graduate of Olympia High School. She worked at Nestle for 25 years before leaving for medical issues.
Jeannie was involved with the Minier Assembly of God Church and loved cooking, taking care of her grandchildren and helping at the church in whatever way she could. She loved her pets and enjoyed trips with family to Disney World. She would always say she was going to retire and work at Disney World, waving the big Mickey white glove at people as they came into the park.
She is survived by her two children, Lyndsy (Andy) Quanstrom, Pekin, and Sam Chase, Minier; two grandchildren, Riley, and Hendrix; five sisters, Theresa (Gary) Schoenwetter, Minneapolis; Vicky Lovins, Minier; Lori Morger, Heyworth; Jerilyn Lovins, Minier; and Vicky Gathright, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her as well.
She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and one sister, Kim.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Minier Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at her church. Haensel Funeral Home, Minier, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials can be made to the family.
