DWIGHT - Laura A. Maxson, 78, Dwight, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 10, 2009) at Morris Hospital. She had been a resident of Heritage Manor, Dwight.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hager Memorial Home, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Her grandson, Pastor Tim Maxson, will officiate. Burial will be at McDowell Cemetery, Dwight. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the memorial home.
Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Maxson was born March 17, 1930, in Dwight, the daughter of Charles E. Taylor and Ida C. Miller Dierks. She married Morris A. Maxson July 15, 1956, at the Congregational Church in Dwight. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by four daughters, Jean A. (Rod Hull) Dransfeldt, Olney; June A. (Dennis) Jones, Olney; Susie A. (Dave) Lyles, St. Germaine, Wis.; and Carol A. (Michael) Hahn, Dwight; her grandchildren, Jim Dransfeldt, Jamie (Nikki) Dransfeldt, Tim (Amy) Maxson, Melinda (Brian) Hunley, Rachael Lyles, Sarah Lewis, Christopher (Emma) Lyles, Christian Hahn, Meghan Hahn; great-grandchildren, Bailey Dransfeldt, Ruby, Ryker and Mya Maxson,-;Logan Hunley and Aiden Lewis; step grandchildren, Paul Hahn, Michael Hahn, Michelle (Shaun) Tucker, Jennifer (Shaun) Papp,-;and Peter-;Hahn; stepgreat-grandchildren, Codie, Quinn, Zack and Gavann Papp; Ashley, Aron and Amanda Adams; and Bayleigh Hahn.
Along with her husband, Morris, she was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Runyon, and her brothers, Clarence (Danny) Dierks and Robert Taylor.
Mrs. Maxson was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Dwight.
She was a waitress and cook for Dwight restaurants, The Bungalow, Trojan Inn, The Corner and the Country Kitchen.
