MANSFIELD - Lois Jean Beckenholdt, 85, Mansfield, died at 5:08 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 3, 2008) at Farmer City Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Farmer City.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington. There will be no visitation.
Interment will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, with the Rev. Don Leonard officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Farmer City Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 404 Brookview Dr., Farmer City, IL 61842. Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born May 14, 1922, in Bloomington, daughter of Frank R. and Gladys Dobson Shapland. She married Albert Franklin Beckenholdt on Aug. 15, 1948, in Bloomington. He survives.
Survivors also include daughter, Linda (Joe) Mayback, Cornell; son, Paul Beckenholdt, Urbana; grandchildren, Chris Mayback, Cornell; Tara (Dave) Jacoby, Bloomington; and Timothy Beckenholdt, Urbana; stepgrandchildren, Debbie (John) Lyons, Cornell, and Dave (Lisa) Mayback, Pontiac; stepgreat-grandchildren, Katie Lyons, Bloomington; Brandon Lyons, Cornell; and Jacob, Chloe and Danika Mayback, all of Pontiac.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law, Mary Beckenholdt.
Lois worked for Union Auto Insurance as a secretary. She was a 1940 graduate of Bloomington High School.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
