Luther "Luke" Darrow of Jamestown Tenn., formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Friday (Sept. 8, 2017) at Signature Healthcare, Jamestown.
His graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Fentress Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, Tenn. Jennings Funeral Homes, Jamestown, Tenn., is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Oct. 21, 1929, a son of Allen and Effie Darrow. He married Jean Adkins on Nov. 1, 1952.
Luther is survived by his son, Dannie Darrow; daughter, Lola (Dan) Augstin; daughter, Anna Darrow; daughter-in-law, Jan Darrow; and son-in-law, Gary Schwartz; eight grandchildren, Jason (Megan) Michalski, Jean (Val) Michalski, Luke Darrow, Alissa Darrow, Clay Darrow, Scott Polokat, Tracey (Mike) Cremeens, Kristin (Homer) Cantu; seven great-grandchildren, Felix Michalski, Murray Michalski, Abner Michalski, Miranda Cremeens, Emma Cremeens, Matias Cantu and Aliyana Cantu.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean; his son, Frank Darrow; his daughter, Connie Darrow-Schwartz; and his brothers and sisters.
Luther worked for Genuine Parts Corp. as a warehouse manager in Normal before retiring. He enjoyed playing solitaire and his many dogs and cats over the years.
