MISSION, Texas — Marvin Allen Dudgeon, 81, Mission, Texas, formerly of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday (Aug. 29, 2012) in his home.
Services were held Tuesday in Mission, Texas.
Marvin was born on Feb. 20, 1931, to Mattie and Mont Ernest Dudgeon in Campbellsville, Ky. He married Mary Ahlers Dudgeon on July 3, 1976.
He is survived by his wife; children, Jim Dudgeon, Tracey (Paul) Roberts and Tom Dudgeon, all of Kentucky; Bob (Laura) Dudgeon; and step-daughter, Joni (Randy) Kessinger, both of Bloomington. He also was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and one son, Joseph Dudgeon.
Marvin retired from Felmley Dickerson Co. and was a member of Local 63 Carpenters Hall for 50 years. Also, he was a member of the Shriners and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Marvin was liked by so many people and never met a stranger. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
