GIBSON CITY — Merle D. Brokate, 81, of Gibson City died at 8:46 p.m. Friday (Jan. 11, 2013) at the Gibson Area Hospital.

Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the American Lutheran Church, Gibson City, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, is in charge of the arrangements.

Burial: Elliott Cemetery, with full military rites.

Memorials: A charity of the donor’s choice.

Survivors: His wife, Betty Brokate, Gibson City; daughter, Sheryl (Gary) Davis, Sibley; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Anderson, Elliott; and Wilma (Hank) Nelson, Bloomington.
