SECOR — Oakley Thomas Mitchell, 74, of Secor, died Aug. 3, 2013.

Oakley was born Dec. 24, 1938, to Oakley E. and Virginia Ables Mitchell.

Oakley was a member of the Union, Lay Baptist Minister, and was a Democratic chairman for Woodford County.

He enjoyed bingo, farming, fishing and helping others.

Survivors include his children, Thomas Mitchell, Rowen Oak; Darlene (Jim) Jordan, Heyworth; and Charles Mitchell, Secor; siblings, Wayne (Bonnie) Mitchell, Stoutsbille, Mo., and Emma Orr; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, James Mitchell, Geneva Overby, Janice Kellerhall and Tess Scott.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service Saturday at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. The Rev. Keith Ferguson will officiate.
