BLOOMINGTON - Ronald "Fritz" D. Brading, 71, of 10 Zephyr Drive, Bloomington, died at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 18, 2008) at his residence.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery, McLean. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the memorial home.

He was born July 16, 1937, in Gibson City, son of Marvin and Leota Brantley Brading.

He is survived by two children, Robert (Lora) Brading, Centralia, and Amanda Smith, Decatur; lifetime companion, Dixie, Bloomington; three brothers, Robert (Terry) Brading, Lyndhurst, N.J.; Roger (Joyce) Rich, McLean; and Jon (Rebecca) Rich, Emden; one sister, Elena Kay (Michael) Mason, Emden; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a professional musician. He owned and engineered many different recording studios. He was a music teacher. He had worked in the Nashville, Tenn., area for many years.

Mr. Brading served in the U.S. Army.
