Shirley M. Blair, 90, of Normal, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 6, 2018) at the McLean County Nursing Home, Normal.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Presbyterian Church, 404 N. Prairie St., Bloomington. The Rev. Paul Stroup will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Alzheimer’s research or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.
Shirley was born Nov. 26, 1927, in Pontiac, the daughter of Harold and Thelma Barrett Nelson. She married Henry “Harry” Blair on Sept. 7, 1963, in Pontiac. He survives in Normal.
Also surviving are her sister, Connie (Terry) Wilson, Port Washington, Wis., and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
Shirley was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Harry, attending shows in Branson, Mo.
Shirley was a loving wife, sister and aunt. She will be missed by all who knew her.
