Wilma D. Hilton, 97, of Normal, passed away 6:30 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 8, 2017) at Heritage Health, Normal.
Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Beck Memorial Home, 209 E. Grove St., Bloomington. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. The Rev. Dr. Kevin Summers will officiate. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the memorial home. The family suggests memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation.
Wilma was born April 5, 1920, in Stanford, the daughter of Miles and Nora Glenn Pantlen. She married Joseph “Loren” Hilton on Aug. 29, 1940, in Stanford. He passed away in October 1989.
Surviving are her two sons, Jerry Hilton, Surprise, Ariz., and Mike Hilton, Normal; two grandchildren, Chris (Doug) Meyers, Phoenix, Arix., and Jerry Hilton Jr., Dallas, Texas; two great-grandchildren, David and Matthew Meyers, Phoenix, Ariz.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sons in infancy, David Lee and Stephen Lee Hilton; and her sister, Glenna Ortwig.
Wilma was a woman of faith. She grew up attending the Church of God, Stanford and she was current a member of Cross Pointe Church of God, Bloomington. She enjoyed flower gardening and grew many roses. She was an avid collector of glass paperweights. Wilma enjoyed visiting family in Arizona and traveling to Sedona, Ariz. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
