The Earth has a fever? How dumb does Al Gore think we are?
World climate has cooled and warmed many times; the current warming is consistent with history, and maybe, just maybe, is a little warmer because of human activity.
Humans will adapt, animals will adapt, as we all must when climate changes, as it does with great regularity.
There isn't any reason to believe that we need to radically alter the lifestyles of everyone on the planet, spending trillions of dollars in the process, so that the year 2100 can be a degree or two cooler than it would be otherwise. There are much better and more urgent things to spend those trillions on, like better water supplies and disease controls for poorer nations, or more research into nuclear energy and - yes! - production of power from our very, very abundant fossil supplies.
Clean air, by all means, but burying our carbon like a bone? Let's not.
Mitigation of global warming is unnecessary and futile. This great new collectivist cause only provides an excuse to plunder our wealth, to provide welfare for "green" industry, and to restrict our freedoms.
