As security supervisor at the Bridgestone America Plant here in Normal, I wanted to take the time to publicly thank Bridgestone management for their efforts to honor all the veterans who are employed here.

On Nov. 11 they provided a delicious luncheon along with a ceremony and video honoring those employees who have served and who are now serving our country. They gave all veterans the time to attend.

In these tough economic times, Bridgestone employees not only met but exceeded their donations to United Way for the year. The plant here in Normal has also made in-kind donations to Community Players Theatre and countless other organizations.

Bridgestone is not just another plant here in the community; they make themselves part of the community.
