Votes on MAP grants raise many questions

I have called the offices of Dan Brady and Bill Brady asking for an explanation of why they voted for the Monetary Award Program when they had no way to fund these expenditures.

The governor has said he would borrow the money. I would like Bill Brady to explain to me if this is his answer if elected governor.

I also have a number of questions I'd like him to answer.

Why are college students who need grant money going to Illinois Wesleyan University and Eureka College, two of the most expensive colleges in the state? Why aren't they going to much cheaper state schools?

I'm tired of these young college students expecting the government to take care of them from the cradle to the grave. I suggest their parents do as my wife and I did when we had two girls in college. I got a second job and my wife went to work.

The state is going to stop payment to the colleges for the tuition of the veterans. It seems the schools will have to pay. Just who will pay? The "taxpayers."

Did the Bradys vote for the MAP program to get the college votes?

I think it's time to get this spending under control.
