Regarding Jeremiah Wright's statements, here are a few thoughts:
1. We live in a free country which we are free to criticize. I give credence to criticism by those who have served in the armed forces, such as the Rev. Wright.
2. We can be angry with our country and express our anger toward it, and still love it.
3. A 20-year relationship with a church is far more complex and meaningful than a few sound bites.
4. Barack Obama is running for president, not Jeremiah Wright. Let's focus primarily on his words and actions in evaluating his candidacy.
