This is in response to Bloomington's new venture of money grabbing - the noise crackdown. It appears very obvious that the city of Bloomington is taking some good lessons from our new state capital of Chicago.
Why does it seem when something passes in "our capital," it filters down into the middle of the state? Is it because the city needs the money to pay for that arena or is it because they need to pad Gov. Rod Blagojevich's pocket or do they need some new office furniture or cars?
Well whatever the reason, you folks in Bloomington, and every small community in McLean County are getting a raw deal and this cancer is spreading.
Look at how high your property taxes are! Where's that money go?
Now there's a need to bump in some more new laws, for what? Money, that's what they want.
Can't smoke anywhere, can't make noise, subject to fines.
We the people need to start standing up to these big-shot politicians. We are all losing our rights every day!
