I do not agree with the federal government's initiative to reform health care insurance. We already have excessive regulations and the cost would be very prohibitive.
More government is the problem and not the solution.
Our health care insurance industry needs deregulation across state lines. Let the free market and private industry compete in an open environment. Tort reform should also be part of action.
I applaud Congressman Tim Johnson for holding a town hall meeting at the Normal Public Library. I encourage Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson to hold a similar meeting at neutral location. Our elected officials need to listen to the full spectrum of voters.
