Vote to stop wealth redistribution

America is in trouble; 49 percent of the country is not paying taxes and Obama promises to raise taxes on the other half. We are $16 trillion in debt, have 8.3 percent unemployment, and 23 million people out of work. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that this cannot continue.

Also, 47 million Americans are on food stamps; 45 percent more than when Obama took office. We will soon have more people taking government money than are contributing.

The government that has the power to give you everything also has the power to take everything away. The government never gives the people anything they didn’t first take away from someone else. The entitlements Barack Obama gives the 49 percent are from the increasing taxes you will be paying.

Let’s vote Barack Obama out of office and stop this redistribution of wealth. God bless America.

Kahlenz, Why did you leave the top 20% out of this statment? they also pay these taxes. Just another one of the democrat collective trying to divide the americian people. - - -
"When payroll tax, corporate taxes, and gas and federal excise taxes taxes are taken into consideration, low income earners actually pay at around 14.2 percent. And that is before state and local taxes".

If the writer falls into the top 20%, she may indeed be privileged to whine about paying more taxes than the bottom 80%. But the top 20% own almost 89 percent of all the wealth in this country. The rest of us (who cumulatively own 11 percent of the wealth) would be thrilled to pay more if the system wasn't rigged to the advantage of the most wealthy.

You just proved what I've always said about conservatives. Lack of belief (i.e, apathy or personal paralyzation) is no way to run one's life, but hey, if that's how you get your jollies...

Voting against a candidate is not a belief, it's the lack of a belief. You can tell people what you don't want by simply staying home.

It's futile to debate someone who's arrogance and confidence exceeds their brainpower. You are so over-hyped in favor of Obama you may have a heart attack if he loses another debate...... so why should I bother.... Obviously, Bush had his faults......but keep in mind that the recession was at least in part a fault of Democratic Congress/Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac who demanded we hand out home loans like hot cakes......And, Bush did warn Congress of the coming disaster.... And, who did not listen?????

Redistribution of wealth refers to the goal of an socio-economic system in which property and the distribution of wealth are subject to control by the community. This control may be either direct—exercised through popular collectives such as workers' councils—or indirect—exercised on behalf of the people by the state. As an economic system, socialism is often characterized by collective ownership of the means of production, goals which have been attributed to, and claimed by, a number of political parties and governments throughout history, due to this, socialism has been attributed to communism mainly because of the distribution of the wealth controlled as a whole and not individually. I will continue to stand for the Constitution, to allow all Americans to control their life. I will not stand for the collective who will subject all to their skewed view of what constitutes haves and have-nots.

I agree with the letter writer whole heartedly. Let's keep funneling the wealth and resources to the top 2%. Worked pretty good so far, right? What could possibly go wrong, right?

    Get real.

If 2008 were a flashback to 1929's Stock Market Crash and Obama was FDR, this writer
apparently would prefer the government do nothing and allow chaos and anarchy to rule for
decades. Millions would go homeless and starve to death. Those fortunate to retain wealth would have to hire private security to keep the jobless/homeless from taking their bread & butter. Healthcare Ha Ha! Forget YOU! What a lovely world that would be.

Obama is not "promising to raise taxes;" he plans on letting the Bush tax cuts expire, as they were planned to do.

Cindy, you are absolutly correct we need to stp the redistribution of wealth in this country. The middle-class is tired of seeing their real wages decline while the 2% see theirs increase at a record pace. The 2% is getting away with taking the wealth of the 47%. When the so-called hated 47% (which is a totally bogus assumption) start making enough in wages to pay federal income taxes the right rush to a plutocracy will end.
Romney's answer: More tax cuts for the wealth and tax increases on the poor and middle-class. What do you think he is talking about when he is saying we need to broaden the base?

Do you include retired and injured military veterans in your group receiving government handouts? There are undoubtedly a bunch of poor White conservatives receiving food stamps and other government handouts. Financial and other social problems are not mutually exclusive as you imply. You are denigrating Republicans, Independents, Democrats plus those who do not participate in our political system.

This "Independent" voter takes exception to your dated and inflated statistics. Obama only wants taxes increased on the top 1% not your assertion of 50%. I do agree that 47% paying no taxes must be changed. I support the bi-partisan Simpson-Bowles Plan. That must include big
cuts to Defense spending and entitlements which the GOP only half supports. If the GOP had a
more trustworthy pair running I would take them more seriously.

Remember- the die hard liberal has convinced himself that Obama has every right to seal all his records from public scrutiny for 4 years; that all the fictional narrative provided by Obama in his ghost written biography is the truth, that the Stimulus actually worked and that the great Recccession is over thanks to Obama's economic policies, and that Obama care is necessary and the greatest initiative to free healthcare in history-- to name only a few of the erroneous topics that Obama liberals delude themselves over...
The majority of Obama's followers do not need logic or the truth to vote for him again. They just need another free handout of our tax money.

Past history my friend...which I can do little to change.....I did not like everything Bush did.....But, the war in Afganistan was one we "had to fight." What we do expect from "the office of the President" is, if you say and promise you can cut national debt in half, we expect you to do it! Sorry, this dog do not hunt! Time for him to go!

I know you must of forgot how we got to this point, so please answer these questions so we can get to a honest answer. 1-Do you find Bush totally faultless for the crashing economy when BO took office? 2-What part of our debt is owed back to fighting two wars at the same time? 3-Were these wars ever okay-ed by congress? 4-How do you feel about letting GM and Chrysler go broke and putting those employees out of work and on food stamps? 4A-I haven't even mentioned Banks, jobs, or Congress politics.
