ROCKFORD -- The Rockford Rage roller derby team has ditched cigarette breaks for healthy workouts, and members are pretty happy with the results.

Credit a skater known as "Sinful Sally." She's a SwedishAmerican Health System exercise physiologist whose real name is Tanya Eickstadt.

Eickstadt joined in 2006 and created a fitness program to replace smoke breaks during practices. Now they do stretching and calisthenics instead.

Byron nuclear worker Jennifer "Chyna Syndrome" Sharos says she hasn't been in such great shape since high school. Skater Jan "Sleezecake" Fosse has lost 40 pounds.

The team is applying to get into a national association with rankings throughout the country. Eickstadt thinks they're in good enough shape to have a shot.
