LOMBARD - A father and son have been charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly shining a flashlight and staring into a sleeping woman's bedroom.

John Kenney, 51, and his son, Matthew, 25, were arrested after the woman was awakened late Sunday by the flashlight and saw the men staring at her through a basement window and called police.

The two men, who were carrying a jar, told officers they were searching for insects to feed a pet, Lombard Deputy Police Chief Dane Cuny said Tuesday. Matthew Kenney is also charged with possession of cannabis for a small amount of the drug police found in his pocket, he said.
