CENTER POINT, Ind. — A 21-year-old woman who was attacked by a tiger while cleaning a cage at an exotic cat refuge in western Indiana has been flown by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital.

Wishard Memorial Hospital spokeswoman says Natalie Moya says Marissa Dub was in critical condition Friday evening. Clay Count Chief Deputy Rob Gambill says he has been told Dub, who is from the Chicago area, has some cuts and bone fractures, but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gambill says Dub was working at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Center Point, about 20 miles east of Terre Haute, when the tiger attacked about 1 p.m. Friday after the woman forgot to close a gate separating the cage from a holding area.
