08/23/08: I failed to advance to the finals, however I am still trying to hold my head up. I have had a fantastic year and I am not calling it quits yet. | Nnamani, U.S. women's volleyball grab silver | Complete Olympics coverage | Olympics photo gallery

I am just hoping that this will motivate me to go run my goal time of 4:02 or under in the upcoming races. Championship races are funny because you never know what you are going to get.

My heat kind of started out slow and then picked up with about 800 meters to go. I know now what I need to work on for the coming years. The biggest thing is I need to also get use to getting out of a normal routine and being ready to compete.

The hardest part was that I felt like I had been in hibernation for 20 days and then expected to compete. I feel like I got to Beijing way too early. At least I know this for the upcoming years.

Because I didn't not advance, yesterday I went to the Great Wall and the Zoo to see Panda Bears. That was awesome. China had been fun but I am ready to get out of here.

I now go home for 3 days before heading to Europe to finish my season. I want to thank everyone for all their support and encouragement. I really appreciate it. I hope to see everyone soon!
